  • Cashier/Customer Service

    If you're interested in a fast-paced, positive working environment, love plants, and are a people person, please apply! We are looking for an energetic cashier to join our team of plant enthusiasts. Experience preferred but we would be willing to train the right candidate. We are looking for full-time availability. Weekends are required. We look forward to meeting you!

     

    Requirements & Responsibilities to include (not limited to):


    • You should love people and have the desire to assist customers when needed.
    • Enjoy houseplants, learn about their care and assist customers in selection according to their needs.
    • Enjoy being creative as cashiers also assist in merchandising and putting away new products.
    • Candidate should be able to count money and process transactions through a point of sale computer program.
    • You will need to be comfortable working in the heat and standing for prolonged periods of time.
    • You must also be able to lift up to 40 lbs with no restrictions, pull and push.

    Job Type: 

    • Full-time, Seasonal
    • In person

    Pay Range:

    • $15.50 - $16.50 per hour

    Expected Hours:

    • 35 – 40 per week
    • 8 hour shift
    • Day shift

  • General Labor/Nursery

    If you don’t mind getting your hands dirty, are physically fit and are a jack of all trades and find yourself looking for an outside job in one location, joining our team and working as a Nursery Assistant or General Labor may be a great fit for you.


    Daily Tasks Could Include:

    • Provide daily care to greenhouse and nursery plants to include, planting, transplanting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, controlling insects and disease, and controlling weeds.
    • Repotting container plants, digging, burlapping and moving large trees.
    • Learning to use a Skid Steer with various attachments to load and move items around the yard.
    • Run power equipment such as weed whippers, power brooms, blowers, chainsaws.
    • Unload large trucks of plant material and organize by variety checking for identification tags.
    • Space plants in accordance to their growth needs.
    • Customer service is required to assist customers with general shopping needs.
    • Maintain cleanliness of yard as well as vehicles, tools and equipment
    • Carrying and moving plants from one selling space to another.
    • Must be a good communicator with ability to work with a team and alone at times.
    • Assist with mechanical aspects of irrigation and other equipment.
    • Be willing to go the extra distance for a customer or your team.

    This position is full time with hours ranging depending on the season but typically 7:30am-4:30pm.  A drivers license is required.  Weekend availability is a must.


  • Greenhouse Operations Associate

    Summary:

    We are seeking a self-motivated and reliable candidate to join our team. The Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to greenhouse management such as planting, pinching, watering, moving, hanging plants of all types. You must be physically fit as this job does require dirty hands and strength to lift, bend, and pull repeatedly. You are required to lift up to 40 lbs with no restrictions. This is a hands-on role that requires a driver's license and a willingness to learn how to drive and back up with a trailer on a truck or gator. You must have the ability to operate hand tools, and a strong attention to detail.



    Requirements & Duties:

    • Maintain and care for plants, including but not limited to; planting, watering, and fertilizing
    • Operate and maintain irrigation systems
    • Loading and unloading plants from one space to another
    • Report on plant growth and health, learning to scout for pests and diseases
    • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow

    Experience:

    • Previous experience in gardening, growing, or landscaping is preferred
    • Knowledge of basic math for measuring and calculating quantities
    • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
    • Familiarity with farm or agricultural practices is a plus
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

  • Seasonal Delivery Driver/ Nursery Attendant

    Summary:

    We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Delivery Driver to join our team at our local Garden Center and Nursery. This position would be perfect for a retired construction employee or someone with similar back-ground looking for a change of pace. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting bulk materials such as mulch and soil to customers, as well as loads of trees. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. When caught up on deliveries this candidate will also assist in duties at the nursery. We require this candidate to have previously driven a One-Ton Pick Up with dump body on the job. We hope you may also have some light duty mechanical knowledge.



    Requirements & Duties:

    • Safely operate a one-ton dump body truck with a trailer. (We require at least one year of experience conducting these tasks.) You must be able to back in a loaded trailer into tight spaces.
    • This position requires you to be physically fit, as you will need to assist in loading and unloading trees and shrubs upon delivery. You must be able to safely lift 50 lbs or more with no restrictions.
    • Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatch team
    • Ensure all deliveries are made in a timely manner
    • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
    • Communicate with customers regarding delivery times and any potential issues
    • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions
    • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
    • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure

    Skills:

    To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:

    • Strong driving skills, including the ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
    • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
    • Ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation tools
    • Physical stamina to load and unload products as needed
    • Attention to detail to ensure accurate delivery of goods
    • Strong time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
    • Customer service-oriented mindset to provide a positive experience for customers
